Anime High School RP Yen Guide: What Yen Buys and How to Spend It Wisely

What Yen buys in Anime High School RP, and how to spend it well: use free Rerolls to test looks first and pay Yen only for the appearance change you keep.

Yen is the currency you spend to change your character's appearance in Anime High School RP. The official game description puts it plainly: you customize your character "through rerolls or by using yen!" Those two routes are not interchangeable — Rerolls reshuffle your look without costing you anything, while Yen buys the change itself — and managing the split between them is the whole game of Yen economics.

The short version: reroll first, spend Yen last. A specific Yen-earning activity hasn't been pinned down in any of the guides we checked, so treat your balance as scarce and let free Rerolls handle the trial and error.

What Yen actually buys

Yen's confirmed job is character customization. The official Roblox description lists it as one of the game's two customization routes — "unlock accessories, and customize your character through rerolls or by using yen!" — and independent guides describe it the same way: you change your appearance through Rerolls or by spending Yen, whichever gets you a character that stands out from the rest of the school.

The two resources do different jobs:

  • Rerolls give you a fresh look to judge. They let you test a new result first, and they're the half of customization you can stock up on for free (more on that below).
  • Yen buys the change outright. When your current style doesn't fit the student you want — a tougher set of features before a fight, or a softer look for making friends — Yen can buy that change too.

One caveat before you budget: no guide we checked lists a price for any specific appearance change, so you can't price out a look in advance. Plan around the habit instead of the numbers — explore with Rerolls, and only reach for Yen once you've decided on the look you're keeping.

If you're also collecting accessories, they add more ways to change your student's look — but it's not clear whether unlocking them itself charges Yen. The official description lists accessory unlocking alongside Yen customization without connecting the two costs, so don't assume your accessory habit will drain the same wallet.

The reroll-first way to customize without draining Yen

  1. Stock up on free Rerolls from codes. The working codes for Anime High School RP pay out Rerolls — not Yen — which is exactly what a Yen saver wants: extra reshuffles that never touch your balance. The current list lives on our Anime High School RP codes page.
  2. Reroll until a look clicks. Each roll is another result to judge, and trying looks this way costs you nothing but rolls. If you want the mechanics in detail, see our Anime High School RP rerolls guide.
  3. Spend Yen only on the change you're keeping. If rerolling hasn't landed on something that fits, Yen buys the change directly. That's the moment it earns its keep — you're paying for a look you've already chosen, not gambling on another shuffle.

Guides treat Yen as the resource worth protecting here — redeeming codes for Rerolls is pitched as customizing "without spending your hard-earned Yen" — and the reroll-first order is why: the free route absorbs the misses, the paid route lands the keep.

Where else Yen goes: campus shops (unconfirmed)

Customization is the only Yen sink the guides confirm, but it may not be the only one. One player's gameplay session captured an in-game shop area selling roleplay bundles and perks for Yen — among them an RP bundle, an extra-jump perk, and an art bundle. The uploader bought the art bundle and received a notebook their character could write in, but they said on the spot that they weren't sure what the bundle included or exactly why Yen was needed.

Treat that as a maybe, not a menu: it comes from a single session by a player who was guessing too, and no prices or full contents are confirmed. If you find one of these shops, read the price tags before you commit anything — and if you're saving for a specific look, customization comes first.

Where to go next
