Anime High School RP Character Customization: Rerolls, Yen & Accessories
How character customization works in Anime High School RP: rerolls randomize appearance slots, Yen buys the change directly, and unlocked accessories equip in dedicated slots — plus which resource to use when.
Character customization in Anime High School RP runs on three routes: rerolls, Yen, and unlockable accessories. Rerolls are a consumable that randomizes one appearance slot at a time, Yen is the paid way to buy the same kind of change, and accessories are unlockable items you apply in dedicated slots. This page explains what each route changes and which resource it uses, so you can pick the right method for the look you want — whether you're building a tougher student for fights or a softer look for socializing.

The three customization routes
The game's own description sets the system: "Fight other students, make new friends and socialize, unlock accessories, and customize your character through rerolls or by using yen!" That gives you two active change mechanisms — rerolls and Yen payments — plus accessories as an unlockable look path:
| Route | What it changes | What it uses |
|---|---|---|
| Rerolls | One appearance slot at a time, with a random new result per spin | Rerolls (a stockable consumable) |
| Yen | The same kind of appearance changes, paid for directly | Yen |
| Accessories | Extra look options, applied in dedicated accessory slots | Unlocked accessories |
Names work differently from everything else: first and last names are typed manually rather than rolled.
Rerolling appearance slots
The customization screen splits your student's look into separate slots, each with its own reroll. In an October 2026 gameplay session, rerolls visibly worked on:
- Height — the displayed height value changed with every reroll.
- Hair and ears — rerolled directly.
- Clothes top — a reroll visibly swapped the outfit piece.
- Bottom — rerolled independently of the top.
- Headset — spun and changed.
Each spin consumes one reroll and replaces only that slot's result, and rerolls are random: a spin gives whatever the slot rolls, and you can't pick the exact outcome. Not every slot supports rerolls either — the player in that session hit at least one slot that simply couldn't be rerolled. The same footage hints at direct change options for hair and the eyes/mouth area sitting alongside the roll buttons, though it doesn't show exactly how those interactions work. Since this comes from a single session in October 2026, treat the slot list as a snapshot: menus and options can shift with updates.
If you run out of rerolls mid-makeover, you can buy more — or restock free (more on that below).
Rerolls or Yen: which should you use?
Both lead to the same kind of change, so the decision is about cost and timing:
- Use a reroll when your current style doesn't fit the student you want to be. You might be heading into a fight wanting a tougher set of features, or there to make friends and socialize, where a softer look fits better. A reroll tests a new result without spending Yen.
- Use Yen when you'd rather pay for the change directly — it buys that change too, and it's the route left once your reroll stock is gone.
Because rerolls let you test a new result first and save Yen for later, the standard play is to spin through stocked rerolls before touching your wallet. Yen's job inside customization is exactly this paid fallback; for earning and managing the currency itself, see the Anime High School RP Yen guide.
Where rerolls come from
Rerolls are the free-when-stocked half of customization, with three supply lines:
- Codes — active codes pay out rerolls, sometimes in bulk, which is how you get more chances to customize without spending Yen. The current lineup lives on the Anime High School RP codes page.
- Play Time Rewards — in the October 2026 session, claiming the Play Time Reward granted one reroll, the resource the player notes the game runs on.
- Buying more — when you run out, you can purchase additional rerolls.
For how reroll stock is built up and spent in detail, the Anime High School RP rerolls guide covers that page's territory.
Accessories: the equippable path
Accessories are a distinct, equipment-style route rather than a currency. You unlock them, and they're applied on the customization screen in dedicated slots: face, face accessories, back accessories, neck, and backpack. In the October 2026 session, each of those slots was spun until an accessory appeared — one slot came up empty and was spun again — and accessories visibly attached to the character once in place.
Exactly how the game decides which accessories you unlock isn't spelled out; the official description only says they're unlocked. The slots are where your unlocked accessories show up either way, and the Anime High School RP accessories guide goes deeper on that path.
